There are some really great sites out there filled with valuable information for 1st time authors considering doing book signings. After all you just don't show up with a few books in hand and go for it. It's important to show up prepared and to also put on a great book signing event so that the bookstore will be pleased. Professionalism is very important, while also providing the bookstores customers with a exciting and fun experience.

Online Book Stores
There are a ton of them out there. Over the last few weeks I have searched a few hundred of them. It's amazing what you can find online. It's also amazing the amount of books that are available online. Millions and millions.
Of course there's the biggies like Amazon. Quite a site. Yet what I enjoy is the fact that you can search huge data bases and get the best prices, shipping prices and approximate deliver times. Pretty cool. However there's nothing like a personal visit to your local book store.
Read daily. It keeps you sharp.
