Jesus Said, Do Not Worry

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on.  Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Worry is the art of being anxious, being uneasy, vexed or troubled.  It has caused people many sleepless hours, because they were not sure of what was going to happen next.  When people continue to worry, they end up in a panic.  They allow the enemy to take over and rob them of their faith and trust in the promises of God, losing their joy and dependency on the Lord.  You must realize that worry is a temptation, just like the temptation to steal, or any of the other thoughts that Satan brings to you.  You are told to resist the devil and he will flee from you, James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8-9. It is not necessary to worry when you are sure God is in control, and wants to meet all of your needs.
